Fall 2024

Our Mission

Its time our city had its own basketball program to help our youth to develop their skills and have fun  without having to travel to the city.  This program allows  FUNdamentals including game exposure without a big cost or commitment from parents.

The program will run September to December 2024 and will support any school players by allowing youth to have team practices and exposure to the game before the school basketball program begins in January 2025.

The future of the program will grow with participation and will adapt to the need of our community.

Basketball Game

13U
(Born 2011 -2012)

Any youth turning 12 or 13 in 2024 year are eligible for U13.

This age group will be more balanced for learning developmental skills but also proper game mechanics to function on a team in junior high school game play.

Playing Basketball

Coaches

Coaches will be volunteers and will have opportunity for a coaching clinic held by a professional coach to learn drills, skill sets, and coaching strategies.

If you foresee basketball coaching in your future, this a perfect time to learn some skills and throw away the outdated idea of running lines you did when you were a youth.

All coaches will need to finish a vulnerability check before the program begins (forms provided by FSYB)

Basketball Practice

Officials

Are you grade 8-12 and interested in becoming a certified Referee for the 2024-2025 year?  You have the opportunity to try officiating basketball while being trained and coached along the way.  Get confident and get paid to be apart of the game.
