Player Participation / Eligibility
FSYB is committed to fielding boys and girls
teams to participate in Dayton Metro
leagues and tournaments. Each team will consist of approximately ten (10)
members chosen through a tryout process. Each team will begin practicing in October, with league play commencing in early December and concluding in early
March. It is the intention of FSYB to provide at least one team per gender for
each of the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades.
In order to be eligible to
tryout for FSYB, a player must meet one (1) of the following criteria. They must
live in the City of Fairborn, attend
Fairborn City Schools or have a parent
working within the City of Fairborn. Any exceptions to the eligibility criteria
must be approved by the Board of Directors.
Registration fee is $100. Uniform costs will be separate. Fees are applicable if selected to a team.
Parent Participation
FSYB is run strictly by (parent) volunteers.
Everyone is encouraged and expected to participate in one or more of the following capacities:
Coach/assistant coach
Concession
stand and/or admissions
Scorekeeping
or time clock administration
Team
parent
Facility
clean up after games
Coaches will be working with their teams to
schedule volunteers for each area as appropriate. No volunteer will work during
their child's game - all work is done prior to or after scheduled games.
